With all the hype of green tea being good for you, now the spot light has shifted its focus. Green tea may have been ranked as one of the healthiest drinks available on the market. But now white tea is getting attention too. It turns out that a cup of white tea has three times the antioxidant level of green tea. Even better, when we compare a cup of orange juice to a cup of white tea, white tea has 12 times the antioxidant level. So Whatever benefits the ancient and well known green tea has on our health, white tea has 3 times more the benefit. So ask yourself the question ;why drink up? well green tea is known for lowering cholesterol, high blood pressure, prevention of environmental effects on our health and skin, and not to mention the antiaging benefits it will have on our appearance. So as beneficial as green tea is, just imagine getting three times the benefits of that in one cup of white tea. Its not even a bad idea to mix up some green and white tea during the day. Maybe in the morning have a cup of white tea to jump start your day with a high level of anitioxidants... and given the fact that there are 24 hours during the day, there will be plenty of time to have a cup of tea here and there. So why not nourish our bodies with good stuff and cut back on the amount of bad caffeine that we consume in coffee and replace it with the lower and natural level of caffeine in tea?
Another thing to consider about about green tea and white tea is that they are both appetite suppressants. For those that are trying to lose weight, green tea and white tea can help by keeping appetite under control, prevent the body from storing fat, and by keeping us healthier and on the right track to following a diet.
One other thing... green tea and white tea may also benefit mental clarity. Overall, I hope this incourages you to go and have your cup of tea :-)
